I am a Registered Massage Therapist and have been licensed with the New Brunswick Massotherapy Association since 1996 (Registration #9638). I integrate several different modalities (Thai Massage, Myofascial Release, Postural ReAlignment, Cranial-Sacral Therapy and traditional Swedish Massage) to assist people with injury, pain, relaxation and cultivating self-awareness. Of these my personal favorite is Thai massage; through rhythmic rocking, meridian work and yoga stretches I guide you into a place of bliss. You will feel relaxed and energized.
I am certified as a Professional Level Yoga Teacher by the Kripalu Centre for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusettsas. Kripalu yoga is the yoga of compassion; it seeks to create a more conscious and compassionate world through the practice of yoga in all its breadth and depth.
Kripalu Yoga's emphasis is on the experience of the heart through the practice of postures and a variety of breathing techniques. The integration of optimal alignment (in poses), breath, movement and conscious awareness help quiet the chattering mind. Kripalu Yoga also incorporates yoga philosophy and meditation to create a complete and balanced practice. I have been teaching locally since 1996 and have assisted teaching programs at Kripalu (Men's Yoga, Yoga Teacher Training, Energy Balancing). I published my first book and CD set in December of 2006. I am currently pursuing training advanced in Integrative Restoration (iRest).
I am a Certified Reiki Master & Teacher. I provide treatments as well as training in all 4 degrees of Reiki. Reiki has been scientifically proven to speed healing, reduce pain and produce deep relaxation. Many people also report improved sleep.
I am recognized by the William Glasser Institute as a Certified Reality Therapist.
